Security
All cars are kept in purpose built high security storage buildings of fire-resistant construction, on a single site for enhanced surveillance and security. The site is in 24-hour occupation, and is fully covered by state of the art alarm systems against intrusion, with direct links giving immediate Police response. The buildings are fully insurance approved for the storage of valuables.
Storage Programmes
A wide range of options for the Preparation, Environment and Static or Dynamic Storage of your car are available. Each car is an individual and all Storage Programmes are tailored to your wishes and your car's needs.
Preparation
All cars undergo basic preparation on receipt, when the exterior is washed and carefully hand leathered dry. Tyre pressures and anti-freeze strength are checked and adjusted, the vehicle sited and the battery disconnected.
Numerous standard options are available to the owner's choice, as detailed in our Tariff; we are however very flexible in accommodating any other special requirements. These include hand waxing and machine polishing, applying preservative coatings and detailing. Interior preparations include full internal valeting and, for leather upholstery, application of Connolly hide food and re-colouring.
Mechanical preparation possibilities include power washing and steam cleaning, application of preservatives and Vee drive belt slackening.
Environment Options - Standard Dry Storage or Dehumidified Storage
Standard or De-Humidified Environments are available for either Static or Dynamic Storage Programmes to your choice, and a loose fitting cotton Dust Sheet may also be specified at reasonable cost (or supply your own if you wish) for either option.
Standard Dry Storage is in purpose built industrial quality units on concrete flooring. Even if Dynamic Storage options are not specified by the owner, all cars are inspected weekly for tyre deflation or fluid leakage, which will be rectified immediately and the owner notified with our request for further instructions and to take corrective action. Tyre pressures are checked/adjusted to 50% over pressure bi-monthly, as is the battery charge condition, which will be boosted if necessary, at no extra cost.
The rusting effect of atmospheric moisture on unprotected steel effectively ceases at Relative Humidity (RH) levels below 50% - which is the maximum permitted in our de-humidified store. However, you can have too much of a good thing, and at lower RH levels than this natural materials - leather upholstery, wood trims (and frames of older cars) etc. - suffer from excessive drying out and the possibility of cracking and loss of strength. Therefore our de-humidification systems, engineered by another of our Group Companies specialising in High Technology Semiconductor Production Equipment engineering and environmental regulation systems, utilise museum quality controls to ensure that your car is maintained in the optimum RH regime for arresting deterioration OVERALL - not just crudely drying the air as much as possible. If Dynamic Storage options are not selected, the same regular tyre/battery/leak checks are performed as in Standard Dry Storage.
